I don't think the National Constitution needs to get involved in the reality of people's day to day lives. In fact would be a tragic mistake to try. This is the realm of state and local legislatures. If one of those make life intolerable, one can always move to a place where people are more agreeable to your particular world view.

In fact, the trend is, in the name of protecting "rights", to use our Constitution as cover to stifle the peoples right to govern themselves.
