Big pharma said it takes 6 years to develop a vaccine, assuming the target doesn't change (but with SARS it will).

HIV is an RNA virus (like SARS). There are estimates that by 2020 it will have killed 70 millon people. How many effective HIV vaccines are on the market? THe virus was isolated in the early 80's.
