The traffic in California is horrendous. We need MORE mass transit not less. But unfortunately Union Oil made sure mass transit was killed off in the 30's so we had to rebuild from scratch, which is expensive. Now that I think about it, oil and car taxes are a damn good idea. Might keep more people from buying cars. We have more cars here than anywhere in the world. Need to thin them out because there's no more room for freeways. At least we have cleaner fuel though, which the GOP fought against. So the air pollution isn't as bad as say, Texas.
