lazy day here

Been two lazy dayz, here. Not complainin'. More like enjoyin'.

Sumpthin' I will menschion (as you put it) though is how infamous the three-man operation in a garage in Austin that makes the T-shirt, has become. Fox News sent them a "cease-and-desist letter" to prevent them from marketing T-Shirts that say

Faux News Channel: We distort. You comply.

And

O'Reilly Youth

209.61.190.23

Now, I will agree that the youth pictured on the T-shirt (shown here salon.com ),
has a very Aryan appearance. But for the Fox attorney to say

Furthermore, the T-shirt 'O'Reilly Youth tee,' in addition to the infringements described herein, shows incredibly poor taste on your part, is highly offensive and clearly demonstrates your bad faith use of the Fox Copyrights and Trademarks

is just not very bright. The problem with bulling intimidation is that it can backfire. As the Salon article says

You'd think the lawyers at Fox News were moonlighting for the marketing department of agitproperties.com.

But as Baghdad fell, so did T-shirt sales.

"After the so-called victory, all of a sudden our traffic and our sales just went to nothing. We were sitting around wondering what we should do and we got this cease-and-desist order from Fox"

snip

As word of the cease-and-desist letter spread around liberal blogs, traffic to the site went from 300 people a day to 41,000. "I went from having five mentions on Google to six pages in 24 hours," says Luckett, who says that he's taken $3,000 worth of T-shirt orders in the last 24 hours.

The site has attracted so much traffic that by Thursday morning it was shut down temporarily for consuming too much bandwidth. The site was back up by Thursday afternoon.

see agitproperties.com

Needless to say with all of the free legal help that has been offered, agitproperties.com is fighting back with a First Amendment defense. You notice when you go to the agitproperties.com web site you’re now confronted with

IMPORTANT LEGAL DISCLAIMER: This website and the merchandise sold herein are parodies and as such are political satire protected by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. agitproperties.com is not connected with, approved or endorsed by FOX News Network LLC, Cable News Network LLLP, MSNBC, the Microsoft Corporation or their respective network affiliates in any way whatsoever. As in the song "The Gambler", it pays to know "when to walk away".

Edit; Just saw on the Debate Porch that you know about "We distort. You comply"

hi-

did you have a lazy day today too?

i did. went out for an afternoon
sail - the current was as strong as
the wind was - but going in opposite
direction. the net-net was that we
sailed on the same tack for close to
two hours and while we were going about
3.5 to 4 knots through the water, our
position over land did not change. we
stayed in virtually the same spot.

it was really strange.

then the wind died so we motored in and
sat at the dock with the other lazy dudes.
