Don't get upset, Bob. Like so many others who have blundered into this forum,Mr. Damian just doesn't understand our protocol, Please give him a free membership, and refer him to the G & K Investing For Curmudgeons thread. We'll be happy to talk reason with him over there.

:-)

caveat emptor and other silliness

Bob,

<< you guys will get a kick out of it, too. >>

I did. We did ...

... but it sure is scary, in a sense.

Thanks for checking in with what is, all things considered, a very informative post.

I hope you don't mind that I linked your post to "SI Highlights."

SI is running very well right now (recently), even the updated rudimentary search engine, and I (we) thank you for that.

If I may, I would like to attempt to express something, and it relates to some posts recently filed on "Welcome to Silicon Investor!."

We consider you to be a close thread friend. When we went through the exercise of determining (in the window allowed) whether this thread would remain unmoderated as opposed to moderated, we decided upon unmoderated. We counted on your sensibilities when we made that decision, and I personally think we made the right decision.

Best,

- Eric -

>>He's complaining that an innocuous post from February 2001 infringes his copyright. For a domain name registered 10 months after the post!

Caveat emptor, indeed. Oh, the irony!

"Ardethan, he used your made-up domain name and registered it. Actionable? LOL"

Probably not unless he used it on a commercial product (trademark) or unless it was a work of art (copyright). Back to lurking, regards to UF.

Perhaps if he should get back to you, ask him why BINSBA, INC is not registered as a corporation in California.

Just logged in for the first time in years. This is really funny.

I love how he wanted to subpoena you to find out the true identity of the poster with the nickname "ardethan".

I mean, *obviously* it is somebody named Dethan Ar.
