It is difficult to not fall into the same trap. Democrats can get mad at the right wing hate, but that does not mean we should give up our ethics and morality and sink to that level.

As with McCarthyism, this is an ill tide that must crest and recede. We should stand up for our rights, but not compromise our integrity.
