The guy that makes a million a year certainly does not pay the same percent of payroll taxes as the guy that makes less than $100,000.

Actually Bush has flipped it around. The middleclass will now start paying more than the rich in terms of share of the burden.

As for your argument that the rich's money goes in the bank, why not just have the government invest directly in the places our society needs the money the most? Instead of investing in Hedge Funds or CD's, invest in school books, medicines, highways and environmental clean-up. he latter directly creates jobs too. The former doesn't. Banks are largely run by computers these days. You don't create any jobs by putting money in a bank.
