Sentiment is much better, as you say, but there's no more blood in the streets. Somehow, some way, there is apparently a recovery in the works. Until recently I have held the position that the long-awaited recovery was a phantom that would disappear as soon as stock prices fully accounted for it. However, I'm contemplating a change in my tune, perhaps to say that a real recovery of unexpected proportions is on the way. I don't know how that can happen, given all the government 'tuning' that's been going on, but it seems that whatever events will surprise the most people are the ones that are going to happen. Most market gauges say we're very overbought right here so be very careful with your money. But let's put it this way... I have some puts (not on HELX) that will expire worthless this month, and I'm about to buy back some covered calls that I wrote on some of my positions. Let the mania continue, and I'll dance along.
