A lot of neocons would love to rip up the constitution, including Anne Coulter types. They want rights only for themselves and not for their opponents.

Jim's point is more about how certain liberal groups claim the constitution as supporting their case when it does not. The 1st amendment would support the right of an artist to create work that most people would think of as offensive. It doesn't however mean that the government has an obligation to user public funds to pay for or display the work.

The Right argues over and over that the Right to Bear Arms amendment is justification for all people in the US to carry a gun when the courts over and over again say no.

The right's response......the courts are wrong!
