Do you have even the slightest evidence to support that, or is it just faith-based on your part?

There's a lot evidence that all the benefits of Saddam's regime went to Sunnis, allied tribes, his own tribe and his own kinsmen in increasing closeness of relation. Iraq is a tribal society, don't forget. The other 80% - 90% of Iraqis got just the fear and oppression.

Now, should it be a surprise that some of the beneficiaries of the regime resent the regime change? Should it also be a surprise that large numbers, if not most, of the beneficiaries of the regime were members of the regime (Saddam filled almost all ranks of importance with kinsmen of some degree)? Is it a leap to call officials of this murderous regime (total executed: in the hundreds of thousands and climbing) "murderers"?

If I called a high ranking Nazi official a murderer, would you call that a wild stretch?

Suggesting that every quote in the media from Iraqis wishing for the old regime, is from a murderer?

Yes. Or someone who is supporting the murderers.
