White House Admits Record Deficit xcr: As bad as it is, on a percentage of GDP basis we've had worse periods... The cost of freedom post 911 dictates that we spend more now to remove terrorist threats that would end up being more costly to our economy if they went unchecked... With that said, there's too much pork barrel spending on both sides of the aisle... That will be with us with or without the terror threats... Where is Jack Benny when you need him??? : > Jim
