I don't want to know about such pleasures. I wish the whole thing could just be dropped. It is so ugly. Sometimes you just have to ignore the ugliness- you won't change it by digging into it, imo. It just spreads it around more.

I posted the item about the storming of the Bastille succeeding in liberating four forgers, two lunatics, and the Marquis de Sade because I had not known that and it surprised me. And it amused me no end, I like to share my mirth. Apparently Bastille Day is steeped in mythology. I learned about it here, btw.

I was also astonished to learn that 40% of French voters are either Communist, Trotskyite, or LePenite. Now wonder things are as they are over there!

Please note I have posted a few positive things, like when I urged people to take a Zairean to lunch on the anniversary of their independence from Belgium...
