SG's comment was about MarQ. I don't think QCOM will miss the forecast by 20%.

I think that they are saying that sell-in to the channel went from 25 million in the 1st quarter to 20 million in the second quarter. They are probably basing this on the fact that both Motorola and Samsung had a sequential drop in units during the quarter (Samsung was down 32%).

Personally, I think they are overstating the drop since I think Sanyo and Nokia picked up marketshare during the quarter. However, the underlying question remains, how much ASIC inventory is their in the channel. Qualcomm needs sell-in to be over 24 million units to start reducing ASIC inventory (which is much harder to estimate than handset inventory).
