You are too concerned with the WMD issue and what the elites of the world think of us. Take a step back and look at the positive things which have taken place as a result of the US involvement. Look at the steps towards peace in the Israeli-Palestinian and Pakistan-India conflicts. Look at the Afghans marching for democracy in the streets of Kabul and millions of women there free from the brutal Taliban. Look at the millions of Iraqis free from a tyrant with the blood of a million+ people on his hands.
