ehasfjord, I believe that ORCL is very undervalued here in the 12s. I don't think that any CEO other then LE could have brought the price any lower in present market conditions. Larry had his day and he may have many days of success in the future, but not as CEO of ORCL.
I would not dare short ORCL at 12.33. Even Larry with his stressed middle age crisis could do little more to cause the shares to move much lower. As I say this, I may be forgetting Larry's biggest weapon against share price appreciation, his ego. It's a buy at these prices, hell, it's a steal, all thanks to Larry and his bowing yes men that he has the nerve to call management. As a shareholder, I'd like to see it grossly overpriced and not on every analyst's bargain list. It’s a bargain because Larry is pretending to be someone he is not. Did you read what Larry had to say about poison pills? Did he consider that ORCL had a poison pill? That kind of blunder would be funny from a low level manager but coming from the CEO, it scared the crap out of me. Is Larry ill? Is he being medicated, or is he just going through the motions?

I've basically become very neutral on ORCL. There are alot of good stories to support the growth case. However, a look at this chart:
stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyiay[pc50!d20,2!f][vc60][iut!Lh14,3!Lg]&pref=G

leads me to believe there's a strong bearish case right now. The major market averages have been overextended for 2-3 months and need a breather. Earnings have been good, but not good enough to support the current market levels.
For ORCL, the potential of a correcting market mixed with declining OBV (which is divergent with price...never a good sign) cannot spell good things in the near term.
If one is to make a case for ownership of ORCL, I'm inclined to say it has to be a very long term view.
