No question, however, that an extra point or so of margin would have made today's report more palatable and I think the market was expecting margin at least at the same level as last quarter, if not a tad higher.


Actually, it isnt the margins that bother me so much. I generally buy their explanation that they are going to be spending quite a bit on product launches....and I am sure that they margins in CDMA arent quite what they are in GSM.

However, the flat to down sales outlook for NMP during the third quarter is a definite disappointment. They are launching a ton of new handsets that should be helping drive ASP's.

Did they give their estimate for ASP's in constant currency terms? I only half listened to the call....

Year over year decline in net revenue to 624 from 862 Mill. Perhaps the market does over react but there is no positive spin to put on this fact
