Andy,

Re: that's what gets me about so many bush critics... they go on and on about how terrible bush is but if it were gore were currently doing these sorts of things, these same people would be apologists for it all...

That is a profoundly naive and disingenuous confusion in your mind. Not to mention more than a little bit insane.

Look here. The Iraqi quagmire has been brought on by some very paranoid and extreme creeps who would never have gotten any traction in a Gore Administration.

Are you kidding about Gore being as stupid as Bush has been to hire Cheney, Perle and Wolfowitz to destroy the U.S.'s credibility? Surely you jest.

There is absolutely no possibility that we'd be in the mess we are in today if Al Gore had been allowed to take his rightful place in the White House.

It is only because of a right wing extremist judicial coup d'etat that the entire planet is in a state of needless turmoil, and thousands of innnocents have been the victims of criminals like George Bush.

The flip side is equally appalling. Were a Democrat presiding over these very same circumstances, the Republicans would be screaming bloody murder instead of celebrating the second coming.
