I gotta go with Neo on this one. You're trying too hard to find commonality where there isn't any. We can all agree that sensible people in our culture will agree on a critical mass of moral principles. I don't think that was ever at issue. What is at issue is whether the set of moral principles exists independent of our acceptance of them. You ain't gonna get any agreement there.

The fact that it (a moral absolute) can be validated by any sensible human being without needing to be culturally derived in each case, is significant.
Let's get back to those Aztec and Maya and cannibals. And let's throw in 1940's Germans.

How is it they missed the "murder is wrong" absolute?
