Davis is not a reviled creep - he's been the victim of two major assaults by the Bushies - a 20 billion dollar energy ripoff followed by a 10 million dollar character assasination campaign. Plus the whole November race was negative which brought down positives on both candidates. If you look at Texas you'll see minus the energy ripoffs the exact same deficit per capita. And the Bush federal deficits far exceed Davis's. Davis is a damaged politician no doubt, but he has not done anything that Bush hasn't done.
