Jim, re: Are you forgetting that things like social security are off budget? No. So tell me Jim, is the budget deficit getting smaller or larger under the Bush administration? Did it get smaller of larger under the Clinton administration (with help from wise Bush1 tax increases)? Do you remember Greenspan testifying before Congress, saying that our biggest problem might be how the government would invest their HUGE surpluses without disrupting the economy? Not a problem any more... John
