Hi Kirk and Brian,

I remember back in the dark ages of Akai reel to reels.I had a few friends who were audiophiles.Their collection of albums was a thing of great pride.

Often they would string together popular songs on a tape for me to play. There were no royalties paid by me and it was far from considered stealing.

These guys passing laws that create new crimes are the greedy crooks.

I don't blame the youth of taday for not thinking twice about downloading a song.

If you've got the computer and a line that will do it - it is just like when my friend had two recorders.

The greed of this industry and the perverts within it is their demise - not the theft of music.

JMHO

Bob

I don't have any children ,but I'd be darned to tell them that's stealing!!

But here is the problem with the current law being proposed. It arbitrarily assumes someone will download a movie 10X......who is to say they cannot create a law assuming a song is downloaded 1000X, thus "creating" a felony? This whole issue of throwing people in jail for doing what always has been done, is patently absurd.
