Unilateral talks are an oxymoron. Bi-lateral talks exist when two parties agree to talk. Multi-lateral talks exist when multiple parties agree to talk. Bi-lateral talks are needed to defuse an immediate crisis. Multi-lateral talks can follow. Multi-lateral talks now are better than no talks, but to include Japan at this stage is just plain stupid on our part. China could help hold our hands and be part of any resulting deal-making. I have no problem with that.

There is not such thing as unilateral talks. If you spoke English, it would facilitate our conversations.
