"Trick"? I prefer to call it a "good" question.

How about one on the Earth?

It's widely accepted that the day with the longest number of daylight hours is Jun 21 [in the norhtern hemisphere]. In the Southern hemisphere it would be Dec 21. We're ignoring wobbling and other random variations.

Which day of the year, i.e., Jun 21 in the northern hemisphere or Dec 21 in the southern hemisphere has the greatest number of daylight hours and why? No computations should be required and the correct answer was confirmed with the US Naval Observatory.
