It tells me essentially what I knew- the bulk of the killing happened when Saddam was our great big old buddy- I knew that. You have spread the deaths which happened at this time, over the time period you would have liked them to happen, tch tch tch.

So of course you can't give me numbers on the 91-2002 period. If Saddam was not killing massive numbers of citizens then (or much less than we have killed to "liberate", for example)- then your excuse for war begins to look...not so good. IMO, of course.

I wanted year by year totals- you cannot give them to me, because they would ruin your point. The killings you are using, from the time Saddam was being sold weapons by us, and was our ally, you have carried forward. Perhaps you do not see a problem with your method of accounting. I just wanted honest calculations for your numbers. We both know Saddam is a VBM (very bad man)- but there are a lot of VBM in the world, and using that was an excuse begins to look disingenuous when the bulk of the VBM's killing is done when he is our proxy.
