Getting pretty hot around INTC by the sounds of things...No wonder DM is sounds so relaxed and confident about Opteron's prospects for success!!!

Compare Prescott's heat problem with the following from bacchus ii reference:

Prescott power consumption is 15% over design spec typical power 103watts instead of the 89 the design called for

And as a result, Intel will change the code name to Phoenix. But, as they say in Arizona, its dry heat. (which makes me I wonder about Tejas). It doesn't look like there is a Bangor on P4 roadmap. <g>
