Al, I've been bringing up Hillary's "Bush Knew" stunt for months now. Here is a link:

truthout.org

(quoting from my own #reply-18175922) I like how she claims she just wants to know, that she isn't trying to "blame the President or any American." Yeah, and I'm sure Ken Starr "just wanted to know" the intimate details of her husband's extramarital affairs.

bush may have taken us to war over flawed or cooked intel and you think that should be swept under the carpet...

Of course not. Don't be silly. If anything, I'm all for an investigation and perhaps some real top-down reform in the CIA (and the FBI, though they aren't involved with Iraq).

Of course, such a review should have taken place a LONG TIME AGO, if not right after 9/11 (though I guess that's in the process), then at least after the intelligence gaffs during the Clinton administration. The problems are not partisan by nature, but bureaucratic, yet all of the partisanship is causing the focus to be diverted.

And yet you accuse me of double standard and the press and anyone who wants to know the story as desperate. . I am in total disbelief that you can't see the potential for abuse of power that needs to be reined in and controlled.

The only abuse I see is that of partisan politics. I don't buy that crap that people "just want to know the story," because too many people are jumping to conclusions already.
