I don't know all of the facts on the Rea appeal, but it sounds to me like he was using his first amendment right to freely express his opinion. However, this would require someone versed in securities law to determine whether or not this is the case. I didn't see anywhere that Rea had a Series 66 and Series 7 certification or that he presented himself as a registered financial advisor. Did I miss that in the documentation?
