off topic.... and that reminds me of the one about.... A rancher was leaning against the gate one day when an old medicine man came up to chat with him. The medicine man asked the rancher, "Your horse, do you talk to your horse?" "Of course not" replied the rancher, "horses can't talk." The medicine man then asked the horse what it was like living on the ranch, to which the horse replied, "Well, it isn't all that great. I herd sheep all day, I live in a barn that leaks when it rains, and I really don't think the rancher takes very good care of me." The medicine man then asks the rancher if he talks to his dog. The rancher replies, somewhat uncertainly, "No dogs can't talk." The medicine man then asks the dog what it's like on the ranch, and the dog answers, "Well, it's not all that great. All I get to eat are table scraps and I spend most of my days breathing the dust the sheep kick up while I chase strays." The medicine man then asks the rancher if he talks to his sheep. "No way!", exclaimed the rancher, "Sheep lie!!!" PS You might get a kick out of this recent addition to SI. Subject 54093
