Dont be gullible. Bushies lied and exaggerated to push a unilateral war which othrewise would have been unpopular. Remember, prior to the even of the war, most Americans were ONLY for war with UN support. My guess is Cheney and Co dewcided they didn't want the UN involved at all LONG ago and were just going through the motions to placate Blair and moderates in the US. The reason - control of OIL.
