That IS surprising. I thought there were exceptions, but I didn't expect VT to be one of them. CA or NY, maybe, but not VT.

So, OK, he gets some credit for doing it without being forced. As for the longer-term rapid rise in spending without a tax increase, VT enjoyed the '90s boom like most every other state, so I'm sure revenues rose rapidly. And like most other states, I'm sure they thought it would never end and they could keep raising spending without worry.

PS: On-topic, Prudential reiterated a sell rating on AMZN with a target of 15.
