I am still following this thread and appreciate your posts. Unfortunately, I no longer have time to do much stock analysis.

I know you are thinking of COF as a superior investment to MBNA, however, I just don't like COFs mass market advertising campaigns. Based on the credit card solicitation I received from them, I wouldn't buy either their card or their stock. In short, I don't think their growth rates are sustainable and I'd stick with MBNA.

I'm still following the thread, but am snowed with work at the moment after a week off at a conference, so can't do the research to comment substantively for a few days.

But nice to see somebody still posting here!
