The language seemed to change, as if you have pasted in that writing.

But basicly your argument is the same. That the only way to deter heinous crimes is to have a heinous penalty. I disagree. Killing to show that killing is wrong evidently does not deter killing. And it supports the premise that killing solves a problem. If it's good enough for the state, then it's good enough for me. And besides murderers do not plan on getting caught anyway.

If CP deters, then why has the number of execution generally increased since 1978? If it deters then shouldn't we see the opposite?

Please post a link that demonstrates the correlating stats in a macro way. Focusing on one state, or city does not prove statisticly a correlation between crimes committed and the penalty in force.
