I just had coffee with my neighbor and he updated me on the police situation in Iraq. He worked over 20 years in undercover work for the sheriff's department and was also loaned out to the state and feds. He's worked biker gang contract killers and Islamic drug dealers.

He contacted the State Department in June when he heard they were looking for retired policemen who had been off the job less than three years. One year in Iraq, bring a 9mm pistol and any other gun you want to. Be ready to go as of July 1.

The first group is the highest ranking officers in charge of training the Iraqis to be policemen. They leave next week. 24,000 Iraqis have signed on the police force thus far. Then two weeks later the uniformed policemen from 30 nations, under UN control go to Iraq and my neighbor goes to Ft. Bragg for two weeks training and on to Iraq. He will be an investigator under US control and will do some training and investigating.

All in all it's looking like there will be an international police force and UN involvement. This post war stuff with the UN couldn't have been done before the war because the UN said there will be no war.

So does Iran, perhaps they will be the first customer for North Korea.
