Hello KC,
Actually I know exactly what racism is first hand. 40 plus years ago I know what it is to be in fear of getting the crap beat out of you daily at school while adults stand by because you're mixed race. I know what it is to have daily battles just getting on a bus with your younger sister and be forced to sit at the back with physical threats despite the bus being no more than 20% full...until one day your little sister decides she's had enough and sits up front and you sit with her because that's just what you do. And as the kids start to pound on us I see a bus driver ignoring a bunch of little Chinamen and mongrels fighting. I know all too well what it like to be mixed race and scorned by many. Yes I'm lucky to have not been born 70 years ago when it was worse... but I know.

Flash forward to ten years ago listening to the constant bleating of Chinese restaurant owner customer moaning about blacks coming into her restaurant. 'If only they'd just do takeout it I wouldn't mind.' I hate those people. Guess their money was good.

Flash forward to Toronto hospital where I was recovering from kidney stones in a semi private room shared with an Indian gentleman. Mr. Patel.... A very attractive white nurse attending. I relayed a tale to her of how a technician couldn't draw a blood sample and called for a more experienced tech. At this point 'Barbie' says 'Oh don't let any of those One eyes (Indian women) touch you. She made me want to puke as much as Michelle Landsberg and amazingly for the same reason. Also interesting it was a very personable Indian woman who came in and successfully drew the blood efficiently and painlessly. Go figure eh! A few hours later I was speaking with my room mate Mr. Patel about all sorts of things. An orderly comes in to tidy up. Hi fellas says he. Hi say I. Mr. Patel clams up. Minutes later when the orderly leaves Mr. Patel graces me with 'Oh I hate those blacks'..

Unfortunately I could go on and on both past and present..

Maybe you know too Killer C. about racism but I wouldn't presume to know that one way or the other. As far as Ms. Landsberg she is in my mind the worst form of Liberal left elitist thinking.. just the obverse of the radical right wackos. Read her faithfully and only one of two things will happen IMHO:
1) she will make you puke too OR
2) your head will fill with stereotypes and hatred..

I typically think better of your posts.

Easy To Be Hard
Three Dog Night

How can people be so heartless
How can people be so cruel
Easy to be hard
Easy to be cold

How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be proud
Easy to say no

And especially people
Who care about strangers
Who care about evil
And social injustice
Do you only
Care about the bleeding crowd?
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend

How can people be so heartless
You know I'm hung up on you
Easy to give in
Easy to help out

And especially people
Who care about strangers
Who say they care about social injustice
Do you only
Care about the bleeding crowd
How about a needing friend?
I need a friend

How can people have no feelings
How can they ignore their friends
Easy to be hard
Easy to be cold
Easy to be proud
Easy to say no
