exactly what racism is first hand. Yep, I went to a secondary school where the bus was full of protestants. The primary school I went to was Catholic, run by nuns. I must of been lucky because it was an excellent primary school. I was the only guy on the bus who was a catholic. It was a double decker too. The daily journey was about 45 minutes each way. I concur with your concerns about political correctness. The B/S you have related will do nothing to alleviate that type of problem imho.

One summer during my undergrad years I worked as a waiter for what is now the Westin chain. The preponderance of my co-workers were Asian -- some recently arrived Vietnamese boat people, some recent Chinese immigrants, some second-generation Chinese. After we'd worked together for a while and got to know each other, one day one of the Chinese women said to me, "White people say that we all look the same -- well you know, you all look the same to us!" That was the best laugh I'd had in days.

I can never know what it is like although I friends of different races... I didn't experience what you and others went through so would not even begin to think I understand.. I remember first starting to work for large oil company in 1960 and being told I would never get ahead because I was Catholic... So even in the sixties religion was also a problem.. It just made me work harder to prove them wrong. The world was also changing very fast and in just a few short years I saw major changes.

" Actually I know exactly what racism is first hand. " Welcome to the club,but it doesn't stop or start with colour or nationality or religion or anything else. It starts and stops with stupidity and ignorance. It stops and starts by those who are so zealous to try to paint everyone with a broad brush of sameness, and forget that diversity, not official multiculturalism , is what makes a great society. It stops and starts by stereotyping ethnicity on television , by placing people of various ethnic backgrounds in positions that are assumed to reflect the people as a whole, or in commercials where visible minorities are cast in footage where they would be ordinarily out of place , just to proliferate the multi -ethnic doctrine of " we is all one - we is all equal - we is Canadian " horseshit day in day out. And now it is on to religion again,with the Jews being smitten by anything that suggests there was a Jesus Christ , with the Muslims being smitten by anything that suggests they are backward and regressive with regard to human rights, and the Christians, who make up the vast majority of the population, being smitten by the removal of Christian historical references in our society to accommodate the " we is all one - we is all equal - we is Canadian " horseshit day in day out. It appears that diversity is good , as long as it is not White - Anglo - Christian - Male diversity. HAR! PS : Interesting story….thanks, eh? ;-0
