I disagree that there are "constant" posts painting any one picture. That is what is appealing about this thread.....reather, there is a constant modulation of posts that represent a myriad of ideas and opinions. I guess if someone where really interested they could go back and do a study of all the various types of posts this thread receives on a daily or weekly basis........I'm not! All I've noticed is that there seems to be a good deal of "trashing" of what some posters here have to say. Pretty unhealthy if you ask me. I agree that it takes a certain type of nut case, as represented in my links, who would want to do harm to the President. M

By the way, you are under the misimpression that I consider the Left to be unAmerican. I have reiterated that I do not, especially defending dissent on the Bush thread, and objecting to broadbrush trashing of the Left despite being attacked for it by some overzealous conservatives on that thread. I do, however, consider some people to be anti- American, but not exclusively on the Left. I consider most fringe groups, including rightwing extremists, like militiamen, to be anti- American. I think that some Libertarians are anti- American, and all ideological racists. The big difference is that Left anti- Americanism more often shows up in a respectable veneer........
