I find Outlook to be totally annoying, XP especially. Having had to support it for some of my clients I can't tell you how many times I find myself cursing Softy. Their idea of security is to not allow the person to even see file attachments that aren't images or htmls let alone choose to open them unless they configure Outlook to allow them to be seen....you have no idea how many calls I got on that one after everyone did a Windows security patch about six months ago.

I use Outlook Express which is easier to use without a lot of extraneous stuff (I don't need the lousy contact manager in Outlook) and the filtering/rules work to my satisfaction most of the time. I have several friends who swear by Eudora for numerous reasons, but one who complained recently that his cable ISP refused to support it any longer and he had to rig it to work. I only have experience using it on the Mac platform and I didn't find it to be particularly intuitive....but maybe that's just between me and the Mac. I use Outlook Express more than I use Word to compose almost anything I write. I don't have to put up with Word's almost constant disagreements with my grammar. Correct my spelling but leave my grammar out of this. If I never see Clippy again it'll be too soon.
