Hey, Goldwater was the FIRST person I ever voted for. I believe that IF he had been elected there would have been no Vietnam war as he had people convinced he was going to nuclearize the DMZ. I doubt that is true but people believed it and it cost him the election IMHO and for me, a trip to S. E. Asia. (gg) jdn
