So, it is hypocracy, or pragmatism?

We cooperated with the Soviets in WWII, even though we knew Stalin to be evil. We supported repressive regimes across the world in the bid to hold back the 'red scourge'. We supported (and armed) Saddam when he was fighting Iran. We supported bin Laden when he was fighting the Soviets. We knew all were evil, yet useful.

So, what about the Saudis? Do we say the same thing we've said for decades, or do we draw the line here? The question is: is it more important to be right, or to do the right thing?
