Sure, now, John, of course you don't "hate" Ashcroft - you just produce him as ipso facto evidence that Bush is a fascist! then you tell me if I can't see why, it's useless to explain. Then you chastise the word "hated" as putting down disagreements!

Ah, another slippery slope. If you check back through that arduous digging of back posts you did, you will see that I simply said there is more evidence Bush is a fascist than that that he should go to Rushmore. Ashcroft is, of course, only a part of that. As for whether Bush is a fascist or his administration is fascist or not, it's definitely too early to tell. There is certainly more evidence pointing in that direction than away from it. Accusing his electoral opponents of lack of patriotism as he did in the runup to the 02 elections is reasonably strong evidence.

But we are, in my estimation, a long way from a serious argument about all this.

As for your use of emotional terms to describe arguments, it's a known trick.
