That's your theory and obviously your background causes you to look under any rock for a connection to Israel. No question that Israel will be an incidental beneficiary if there is a successful "road map." There is not a shred of evidence that the admninistration has not had the best interests of the Palestinians in mind. There is even stronger evidence that the "war" was partially waged to stabilize our Arab friends in the region, such as Jordan and I use tongue in cheek quotes for "Saudi Arabia," and our general influence in the area.

The war was fought because of a perception in the administration that this would prevent terrorism. I'm not going to argue now whether they were right or wrong.

The point is that you see Israel and specifically Sharon as being the motivating factor behind US policy. It shows an extreme intellectual dishonesty at the best. At worst, refer to my prior post to you.
