MSI,

<<<Wars of aggression have never been the policy of the US and of course have been considered crimes for centuries.>>>

Actually, what we're doing in Iraq comes pretty close to what we did to the American Indian under the manifest destiny doctrine.

If that's the program, then our public servants should have, and should continue to, address the issue strictly on its own merits without the lies and propaganda jobs. If the public approves of the idea on its own merits, then Iraq should be offered the chance to become our 51st State.

As I see it the issue is less a matter of if unprovoked attacks for the purpose of acquiring assets can be justified on a moral basis, which I doubt they can, but that Congress handed dictator like powers to one man, without due diligence, under false pretenses, and without representing the will of an informed democratic society. The entire system of checks and balances built into our Constitution was tossed out the window, and the net effect is a President who was elected by judges, was then elected Dictator by Congress.
