Why would I care about how many software tools come with Linux? I'd assume is the usual; IDEs with multiple languages (including the 'toy' language Java), debuggers, profilers, asset management, libs, file utilities, software construction utilities like YACC, LEX, etc etc. What's the point?

Real time voice recognition is neat, but nowhere near as complex as real AI needs to be (but is not yet).

And data manipulation (like the ATR sample) is very necessary but pretty algorithmically straightforward stuff. Nowhere near the complexity of today's and future AI algorithms.
