No, no, no, no, SC. I have never referred to you or anyone here as a traitor. We may have had a nutcase drop by and do it, but I have never read it from anyone here. We make no secret of the fact that we both think the other's opinions are dead wrong. So what? Thank you LB! I've seen that claim made a lot, but I read this thread nearly every day and I haven't seen anyone here call another poster a traitor or anti-American. Like you I could have missed something......I'd sure like to see where that kind of uncalled for harassment has taken place. I often do see........when someone shows support for our president, his administration or the war in Iraq......verbal attacks by those who don't. Attacks like calling people "hotheads" "right wingnuts" or accusing people of suffering "logical impairment".....or that people demagouge. That honest beliefs are just "BS" or "bloviating punditry" or "tripe." Although I'm sure there is some of that going on from "the other side".....it seems to me that more conservative posters are subjected to these attacks than more liberal posters. Perhaps someone could prove me wrong? I've noticed the current tactic de jour is to label conservative individuals either black or white incapable of any other line of thought outside those narrow perameters.......quite a shallow and insulting statement for an adult forum. I fully expect to be "corrected" by someone re my observations, but I won't stop as long as these kinds of adjectives are applied to people based solely on what they believe. And I will be the first one to deride someone who calls another poster anti-American or a traitor for posting their beliefs. Sure would like to see an example though. Can't wait for Ken's return. M

<This can be a hot kitchen.> At least it is still a kitchen -- a social place where lively things are expected, and the smell is clean and fresh. I have seen posts on other threads that do not look like a conversation in a kitchen. That is unappealing.
