I noted that the Bush administration has increased the terrorist rhetoric today; so far that has always meant that they were trying to sell a political agenda. Maybe this time they are feeling some political heat.

John, they have used that tactic whenever they are fumbling over some issue. They will use it right up to the 2004 election. They've learned that fear is a strong motivator for many Americans.

JF, If a terrorist act on the US was so easy, why have we only seen two in the last 10 years?

Maybe because we'll kick the ass of anyone responsible?

Now that the 9/11 report is out, we know what the CIA did wrong and what they could have done to anticipate the attacks. Had the CIA done exactly that, would you have supported a pre-emptive strike against the Taliban?
