"Explanation: I was referring to your "support" of your statement by quoting a Pope from 1800s. The point is that if you think quoting some pope from centuries ago is "evidence" of anything, you could also claim witches existed and were burnt rightfully at the stake by quoting some pope from the Middle Ages."

The point is that your response is typical of the uneducated and untutored. It is an example of "ignoratio elenchi". The argument regarding Freemasonry has NOTHING to do with the truth or the falsity of witches, God, Eden, sunflowers, the flood, Noah's ark, Jonah and the fish..or which diet really works best.

Because humankind once killed "witches" it does not follow that all succeeding arguments about other issues become invalid!

If you have an argument that the Catholic Church DOES NOT believe itself to be infiltrated and threatened by Freemasonry, then USE IT, Child! Telling me that Cain was guilty of slaying Abel does NOT address our discussion.

"Did you get that? Or. Should. I. Say. It. More. Slowly?"

Perhaps you could try ginkgo Biloba! Or you might try to explain away the statements given in the links I supplied which attacked the Catholic Church and served to justify their fear of Freemasonry.
