I have a feeling the market is going to get real ugly pretty soon. Psychology seems to be changing for the worse and key sopport areas are near their breaking points. NAZ 1500 to 1550 and S&P 920 aren't all that hard to imagine before we have some sort of fall rally.

Paul, what's your forecast for December and 2004?

I will go to 100% cash on Monday as my model says to sell. I'm up only 12% this year and now in cash.......its a lousy feeling not to participate in such a big year for the Nasdaq. Hopefully we'll get some tax loss selling in December (or maybe some will want to cash out some gains) allowing me to reenter a long position at a discount to today's prices.

Looking back a few years, the years most resembling 2003 were 1991,1995, and 1999. In each case the following year had strong gains in the early months. So, if we get a dip in the next few weeks, it could be setting up another good buying opportunity for an early 2004 run. After that though, the market may start worrying about what the fed will do after the 2004 election.
