This is the weekly update of earnings estimates for the
Group. Several small pluses and minuses this week, but the
"big movers" are KLAC and DPMI. Both are positive which
gives a nice move to the bottom line - both are the result
of "roll overs" from one FY to the next.

One can conclude from the above statement the once a period of "high" or "low" volatility occurs, all subsequet data would be alternating periods of "high" and "low" volatility.

If "high" and "low" volatility were the only two states for the data, then the beginning and ending of a "period" would be defined by a move from one state to another and the above statement is just a corollary to the definition of "period."
