I don't think the gay community is at all in denial about being different. What they want is equal treatment despite the difference. And I don't think that they want your appoval except so far as it extends to allowing this. What significant difference is there between the childless couple and a gay couple? (I truly am trying to figure this out).

Whether there is an inherent repugnancy or not(and I am not sure I totally agree with Neo on that, having raised two boys of my own, who did NOT have a strong reaction about it), it can't be the reason to exclude.

The Yuck Factor has been at the heart of many poor decisions, I think. I have my own Yuck Factors. They are not all reasonable.

Approval is personal- and shouldn't be a factor in deciding the legitimacy of a claim, should it?

It is true that pretending that having problems with homosexuality is deviant, but not homosexuality itself, is a remarkably ludicrous turn of events......
