I think many Americans understand the difficult position that the Bedouin have been placed in by Saddam. Saddam has asked for hospitality among them, so they are obligated by their own good manners and custom to oblige him. However in my opinion, the Bedouin are also Iraqi's, and should remember how many of their countrymen that Saddam has murdered, including a very great many Muslim's. If Saddam is near you, I think that your family should be moved to safe area where they will not be accidently harmed if Saddam decides to endanger Iraqi's once again by fighting another hopeless battle.
